How To Be Happy

"How To Be Happy"

1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.

2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.

3. Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.

4. You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you.

5. Don't let your neighbor set your standards. Be yourself.

6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.

7. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.

8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy, enmity, grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy.

9. Have many interests. If you can't travel, read about new places.

10. Don't hold post-mortems. Don't spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don't be one who never gets over things.

11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.

12. Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy. ~- Robert Louis Stevenson( Courtesy: http://members.tripod.com/~blueladycat/how2bhappy.html )

Be A Leader

Be a Leader: How to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing ResentmentA leader's job often includes changing your people's attitudes and behavior. Some suggestions to accomplish this:

1.Begin with praise and honest appreciation.
2.Call attention to people's mistakes indirectly.
3.Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.
4.Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
5.Let the other person save face.
6.Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be "hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise."
7.Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to.
8.Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct.
9.Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

OutSourcing to India

Bangalored
OutSourcing to India is predominant everywhere.Large number of talent pool is available in India.Finishing the work at right time by fight people is achieved here.
Bangalored adj. (said of a corporation, project, or employment) having been relocated to India; having lost business or employment due to such a relocation.
What is the meaning of `Bangalored'?

(Ravi Nagaprasad, Hyderabad)
The Americans invented this word, and they have been using it quite frequently. As you know, many multinationals, in order to save money, are outsourcing their work to cities in India. When an American says that he has been `Bangalored', what he means is that he has lost his job because his company has decided to move its operations to a city in India — not necessarily Bangalore.

* According to the article, another 10,000 people will be Bangalored by the end of the year.

It is not often that the name of a city is used as a verb. As a proud Hyderbadi, you may wonder why the Americans chose the city of Bangalore. You must remember that during the early stages of outsourcing, most of the companies were moving to this city — Bangalore was then perceived as the Silicon Valley of India. The Americans' fear of losing jobs to the city of Bangalore gave rise to another word — `Bangalorephobia'.

Story Doesn't End Here (Must Read).......................

Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument

about who was faster .

They decided to settle the argument with a race.

They agreed on a route
and started off the race.
The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time.
Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise,

he thought he'd sit under
a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race.

He sat under
the tree and soon fell asleep.

The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race,

emerging as the undisputed champ.

The hare woke up
and realized that he'd lost the race.
The moral-
"Slow and steady wins the race. This is the version of the
story that we've all grown up with."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

there are few more interesting
things.....it continues as follows......

The hare was disappointed at losing the race and he did some
soul-searching.

He realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident,
careless and lax.
If he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him.

So he challenged the tortoise to another race.
The tortoise agreed. This time, the hare went all out and ran without
stopping from start to finish. He won by several miles.
The moral -
" Fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady.
It's good to be slow and steady; but it's better to be fast and reliable."

THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE

The tortoise did some thinking this time, and realized that there's no
way it can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted.

It thought for a while, and then challenged the hare to another race, but
on a slightly different route. The hare agreed. They started off. In keeping
with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took off and
ran at top speed until he came to a broad river. The finishing line was a
couple of kilometres on the other side of the river.

The hare sat there
wondering what to do.
In the meantime the tortoise trundled along, got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race.

The moral -
"First identify your core competency and then change the
playing field to suit your core competency."

THE STORY STILL HASN'T ENDED

The hare and the tortoise, by this time, had become pretty good friends
and they did some thinking together.

Both realized that the last race could
have been run much better So they decided to do the last race again,

but to
run as a team this time.

They started off, and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank. There, the tortoise took over and swam
across with the hare on his back. On the opposite bank, the hare again

carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together.

They both felt a
greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier.
The moral -
"It's good to be individually brilliant and to have strong
core competencies; but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each
other's core competencies, you'll always perform below par because
there will always be situations at which you'll do poorly and someone else
does well.

Teamwork is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person
with the relevant core competency for a situation take leadership.
Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failures. The
hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure. The
tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as
he could."
In life, when faced with failure,
sometimes it is appropriate to work
harder and put in more effort.

Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different.

And sometimes it is appropriate to do both.

The hare and the tortoise also learn t another vital lesson. When we stop competing

against a rival and instead start competing against the
situation, we perform far better.

To sum up-
the story of the hare and tortoise has much to say:
Chief among them are that fast and consistent will always beat slow and
steady;work to your competencies; pooling resources and working as a team will always beat

individual performers; never give up when faced with
failure; & finally, compete against the situation - not against a rival.

Best Book for Creativity

A whack on the side of the head
In 1983 Roger von Oech wrote A Whack on the Side of the Head: How You Can be More Creative. In the book, revised in 1990 and reprinted every year since then, von Oech knocks down 10 myths (he calls them “mental blocks”) stopping us from being creative. Here they are:
1. The right answer. Our education system teaches us to look for the one right answer. Trouble is, in business, as in life, there are often several right answers. “Many of us,” says von Oech, “have a tendency to stop looking for alternative right answers after the first right answer has been found. This is unfortunate because often it’s the second, or third, or tenth right answer which is what we need to solve a problem in an innovative way.”
Tip: Ask questions that solicit multiple answers
2.That’s not logical. Logic is great at the implementation phase of an idea, but when you are searching and playing with ideas, excessive logic can short-circuit your creative process.
Tip: Try some “soft thinking”. Ask “what if?”, “why not?”, "what rules can we break?”, “what assumptions can we drop?”, “how about we look at this backwards?”
3. Follow the rules. Most organisations have rules that were once sensible but are now obsolete. We tend not to challenge them because “that’s how it’s always been”. Breaking the rules won’t necessarily lead to creative thinking, but it’s one avenue.
Tip: Have rule-inspecting and rule-discarding sessions within your organisation.
4. Be practical. Most people have a natural tendency to be critical of new ideas and focus on why they won’t work.
Tip: Try evaluating a new idea, not on its practical merits, but as a provocative stepping stone to come up with other ideas, some of which might eventually work.
5. Play is frivolous. Some good ideas emerge from necessity or deadline pressure. Just as many come over a boozy lunch, or when you aren’t thinking about the problem too seriously.
Tip: Introduce humour or wackiness into a meeting to stimulate the flow of ideas. Make your workplace a fun place to be.
6. That’s not my area. Many exciting ideas have come from transferring knowledge from one area into another. But most people don’t consult colleagues in other disciplines to get answers to problems. The more specialised you are, the less likely you are to explore other fields.
Tip: Develop the outlook that wherever you go and whoever you talk to, there are ideas waiting to be discovered.
7. Avoid ambiguity. Many cultures use the concept of an “oracle” to take advantage of our ability to make sense out of ambiguous situations. The oracle gives its pronouncements in an ambiguous way, and leaves its hearers to come up with a creative interpretation. Trouble is, these days we tend to avoid ambiguity, seeing it as a potential cause of communication problems and time wasting.
Tip: If you are giving someone a problem that has the potential to be solved in a creative way, try, at least initially, to pose it in an ambiguous way, so as not to restrict their imagination.
8. Don’t be foolish. The classical “fool” was an antidote to the yes-men surrounding the king. His role was to parody the common view on an issue and force the king to re-examine his assumptions and entertain alternative ideas.
Tip: If you are in a rut about a problem, try freeing up your thinking by taking the contrary position or disagreeing with the common sense view.
9. To err is wrong. From an early stage we are rewarded for the right answer and punished for the wrong one. We learn to keep mistakes to a minimum. Actually there are two benefits of failure: you learn what doesn’t work, and you get an opportunity to try a new approach.
Tip: If you aren’t making many errors, ask yourself, “How many opportunities am I missing by not being more aggressive?”
10. I’m not creative. A major oil company hired psychologists to find out why some of its engineers produced more creative product than others. The answer: the ones doing creative things thought they were creative; the others didn’t think they were.
Tip: A major factor differentiating creative people from the rest is that they believe their small ideas could lead to something bigger and build on these ideas. Do it.Von Oech's website can be found at

There was a good old barber in Hyderabad. One day a florist goes to him for a haircut. After the cut, he goes to pay the barber and the barber replies:
I am sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I am doing a Community Service. Florist is happy and leaves the shop.

The next morning when the Barber goes to open his shop, there is a "Thank You" Card and a dozen roses waiting at his door.

A Confectioner goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber he again refuses to take the money. The Confectioner is happy and leaves the shop.

The next morning when the Barber goes to open his shop, there is another "Thank you" Card and a dozen Cakes waiting at his door.

A Software Engineer goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber again refuses the money saying that it was a community service.

The Power of Blogging.

I am in immense of pleasure to announce that there was a survey conducted in japan based on my blog's article.I have seen that in blogscope website. This is the actual link

I have a question on my mind. Will i be worthy to be ownership of the article.Absolutlely it is not.Suddenly one word came to my mind that telling me your are a plagiarist.I balanced myself and reply back to my mind why not?
I use one teaching of christ that is "seek you will find"...
I got the perfect meaning of plagiarism. The idea that copying another person?s ideas or expression (the form of words in which the idea is encapsulated), without the person?s authorization and without explicit acknowledgment of the copying, is reprehensible is, in general, clearly false.
But as in the case of myself i copied from others as well as i will acknowledge it.So i feel i am not at all to be plagiarist.I am not a good writer to post an article. But i used to post whatever impressed upon my mind and whatever is useful to others.
I read that article "100 ways to live 100 years" from http://www.livelongto100years.com/longlife.html.I acknowledged that website in my previous posting also.
The power of blogging as a matter of browsing from some where else.If some thing is good, please post on it.I believe "service to humanity is the best work of life..".

Benefits of Apples

The old saying “ to eat an apple going to bed, will make the doctor beg his bread” has been justified by its many health-rich properties. A member of the rose family, fossil remains have shown that apples were gathered and stored 5,000 years ago and it’s likely that they were already cultivated during the Neolithic times. Apples are excellent detoxifiers and apple juice can destroy viruses in the body.
In one recent study , Riu Hai Liu of Cornell University, has found although apples has only a small amount of vitamin C, eating 100 grams of apple provides the same amount of antioxidant activity as taking 1,500 milligrams of the same vitamin.
Just make sure you do not take too many apple seeds because it could be toxic if taken in large amount.

1. Apple cleans teeth and strengthens gum
2. Will make the cholesterol level lower
3. Detoxify the body and has an antiviral property
4. Apple will also prevent constipation because it helps digestion
5. One large apple supplies almost 30% of minimum amount of fiber that should be consumed daily
The use :
1. For people who suffer from gout and rheumatism, eat apple regularly because it will aid healing
2. Eating 2 apples a day will reduce your cholesterol level up to 10 %3. Drinking an apple juice,
3 times a day, is said to prevent virus from settling in the body.
4. Another benefit of apple is for those who have problem with their stomach. If you have problem with indigestion, eat apples before meals.
5. Grated apple, when mixed with live yogurt may be helpful in cases of diarrhea
Tips :
1) Never buy apples that have not been kept cold since they can be over-ripe in a few days.
2) Apples should be hard. If you can dent an apple with your finger, DO NOT BUY IT.
3) Keep your apples refrigerated. If not, it will decay fast.
4) To prevent browning, rub the cut surfaces with a mixture of lemon juice and water.
5) Canadian researchers analyzing eight popular varieties found that the old standby, Red Delicious, and an apple called Northern Spy contain more disease-fighting antioxidants in their skin and flesh than any other studied. In English this means red apples are better than other apples.

Mobile phones

This photo was taken by my friend's Sony Ericsson K800i mobile. This model mobile camera is very clarity and more flexible to take photo.Last year i had nokio 6600 which has camera,mp3 player, video recorder, and video player.I liked in the beginning.Later i thought it is too big.so i bought motorola l6i.Now when i see the sony ericsson k800i,i am charisma towards to it.Becoz of its clarity and memory capacity.

The good of this model is..
3.2-megapixel camera with proper flash
Large, sharp 262K colour display
Integrated RSS reader and Web browser Image stabilisation to assist shooting Wide array of easy-to-use multimedia features 64MB internal memory stores around 100 photos

The bad:
Menu navigation can be sluggish
Overexposed photos in bright conditions
Bulkier than previous model
Photo blogging with Blogger.com only
No bundled memory card
The bottomline:
The best camera phone of 2006 so far, the Sony Ericsson K800i outshines all others in term of features and user-friendly design. Aside from a few squabbles with the extra bulk, the K800i makes it easy for first-time 3G users and is an ideal companion for anyone wanting to take happy-snaps on-the-go.

World is such a way.....

I had a versatile experience in this week.I read oh!manase Relax please.I got many insight from that too.Swami Sukhabodhananda's teaching is a practical and easy to follow.
I came understood that unfairness is a part and parcel of this world.Sometimes we are not in a position to understand why this happen to us?.But only thing is that it is part and parcel of everyone..
Judging a person is not easy.I strongly believe the following statements...
WHEN WEALTH IS LOST.. NOTHING IS LOST
WHEN HEALTH IS LOST...SOMETHING IS LOST
WHEN CHARACTER IS LOST..EVERYTHING IS LOST.
I happened to read about habit.
I got good new insight about habit.Habit is too stronger than anything.U know how?
please remove 'H' from Habit still 'abit' is there.
please remove 'Ha' from Habit still 'bit' is there.
please remove 'Hab' from Habit still 'it' is there.
so such powerful one.Something we repeatedly do becomes habit.Be careful to judge the person.
In the beginning we make the habit and in the end habit makes us..
Every experience i have is designed to make myself stronger.Hardship is also part of the life...People should ready to give genuine and trustworthy comment about others.Okay anyway i forget and forgive.
I remembered one saying "If you have experienced the dark,You can better appreciate the light..How true it is...
